Bruxism

Bruxism: evaluation and treatment with an occlusal guard and comprehensive TMJ (temporomandibular joint) care.

BRUXISM is the habit of clenching or grinding the teeth. It can occur during the day or at night and, over time, may cause tooth wear, muscle pain, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) discomfort, or headaches.

Evaluation and treatment plan

A clinical evaluation helps identify signs such as wear, sensitivity, muscle pain, or joint overload. The plan is individualized and may include habit recommendations, adjustments, and treatment with an OCCLUSAL GUARD.

Occlusal guard

Occlusal guard (splint)

An occlusal guard can help protect tooth surfaces and reduce loading on muscles and the TMJ in selected cases.

Botulinum toxin type A

The use of botulinum toxin type A is an excellent option for treating masseter, pterygoid and temporal muscle hypertrophy.
