Fibroma With Laser
Laser removal of fibromas: a precise approach with good healing and clinical cases.
A fibroma is a benign lesion that can appear in the oral mucosa due to chronic irritation (biting, friction from teeth, orthodontics or restorations). When it grows, becomes uncomfortable or bleeds, removal may be recommended.
A surgical laser allows a fine, controlled cut, helping reduce bleeding during the procedure and supporting good healing.
When is fibroma removal recommended?
- Progressive growth.
- Discomfort when speaking or eating.
- Recurrent irritation, ulceration or bleeding.
- When diagnostic confirmation is needed through histopathology.
Laser treatment
After clinical evaluation, a plan is defined and the lesion is removed under local anesthesia in the office. Post‑procedure care may include hygiene measures, a soft diet and follow‑up visits depending on the case.
